My name is Thatcher Schmitz.
When someone first meets me, they see someone that is reserved. While this is true, I am considered a leader in and out of the pool. I believe in being humble and raising up those around me.
As someone that is always on the quest for improvement, I am coachable and approachable about my technique and skills in the water. From my coach, I am looking for someone that acknowledges the progress not just the end result and shares my belief that athletics coupled with academics makes a complete student.
Being a valued teammate, I enjoy being a part of a team that is competitive while still maintaining its sportsmanship and integrity.
While swimming is my passion, gaining an education is my ultimate goal.
