Confident, self-motivated, dedicated, and disciplined. Ever since I was 12 years old, I’ve enjoyed swimming. At first, it was something I did because it was the sport I enjoyed most. Then it became something much more. I liked chasing times and working hard every day to achieve goals I set for myself.
I wake up early every morning before school to workout at the gym or go to swim practice. After school, I attend swim practice every day. I take the time outside of these activities to focus on academics and work. I am disciplined and will do whatever it takes to be successful whether it’s in or outside of swimming. I push myself to the limit and treat every day like it’s the last.
Aside from my work ethic, I love to compete. Before my races all I can think about is beating the guy next to me, and after, all I can think about is how I can improve and what I need to work on. Doing this has made me more determined to get better and love the sport even more. It has helped me to gain close friends and make lots of memories with them. I want to swim in college to continue to improve at swimming, achieve more goals for myself and my team, meet new people, and perform at a higher level.
