Jace Zemlicka '25 Recruiting Profile

Five years ago I started taking swim lessons at our local pool and I could not get enough of the water.  I joined the swim team at the invitation of one of the swim instructors because they saw something special in me.  I now spend six days a week training in the water and weightlifting.  When swim practice is over, I don't leave the pool - I work as a lifeguard and am also a swim instructor.  I maintain a high grade point average in a competitive Engineering and Aerospace Science Academy pathway at my high school.  I will never stop pushing myself because I want to make myself and others around me better. I am a leader in and out of the pool and have a zero excuses mindset - what you put in is what you get out.  I like to have fun with my team and even opponents, but at the same time thrive in competitive environments because I like to be challenged. I have worked hard to get where I am today in the pool and want to keep going after high school because I'm not through winning team points yet.
