Eli Delgado '24 Recruiting Profile

As a child of deaf parents, communication has always been an integral part of my life. I learned to communicate through sign language and developed a deep appreciation for the power of nonverbal communication. However, it wasn't until I discovered swimming that I realized the true potential of the human body to communicate and achieve incredible feats.

I was introduced to swimming by a friend in 6th grade, and I quickly fell in love with the sport. Swimming became more than just a hobby for me – it became a way to challenge myself, both physically and mentally, and to push beyond my limits.

Now, as I approach the next chapter of my academic and athletic journey, I am eager to continue pursuing my passion for swimming at the collegiate level. I am confident that I have the drive, dedication, and skill to make a meaningful contribution to your swimming program. I am excited about the opportunity to train with and learn from experienced coaches and talented teammates, and to push myself to new heights both in and out of the pool.

As a student at Perrin-Whitt High School, I have demonstrated my commitment to academic excellence and community involvement. I am confident that I can balance the demands of rigorous coursework with the demands of being a collegiate athlete, and that I can contribute positively to both your team and your campus community.
