Austyn McGregor '24 Recruiting Profile

 I am a military brat who has lived in 5 U.S. states and two countries around the world. In July 2022 I moved to Northern Virginia and am currently a junior at South County High School, swimming for both the South County Stallions and Machine Aquatics. I started swimming in 2017 while living in Germany, however, in 2019, when I moved to South Korea, I took a 2-year hiatus (due to there being no American swim teams and the COVID shutdowns).  I started swimming competitively again in 2021, and now have a full 1.5 years of competitive swimming under my belt and have now qualified for a national-level meet. Besides swimming, my other passions include leadership as an Eagle Scout in the Boy Scouts of America program and Youth Ministry; I am also extremely passionate about engineering and design.  I am very interested in swimming at the collegiate level and believe I possess the dedication, maturity, and drive to excel athletically and academically in any program.
