Personal Statement
For me there’s no greater feeling than competing, not only in the court but in everyday life itself. Competing against yourself and trying to be better everyday in everything you do wether it is to make your bed better or serve better or be faster, there is always room for improvement. I may not be the strongest player ever or the best server, but I am a competitor.
On my time outside the court I enjoy learning as much as I can about everything that interests me, wether it be through reading or talking to mentors, there is just so much I can learn from everyone around me. I am not only looking to compete, but also for the best situation in which I can learn as much about tennis than any other topic. A situation in which I can make a real change on the team’s attitude, morale, and work-ethic.
I started playing tennis around the age of 7, and I have not only learned how to hit a ball, but also it has formed me into the person I am today. Tennis allowed me to learn how to be present in the moment and how not to drift off, as was my case growing up. It has showed me what working hard means, and I choose to reflect that on everything I do everyday.
