PERSONAL STATEMENT
My life long goal since I began playing tennis has been to follow in my father and grandfather's footsteps by becoming a college tennis player. After a difficult transition involving a move from Connecticut to Vermont in the middle of my sophomore year, I became the Vermont state champion and had an undefeated season in both my sophomore and junior years.
By traveling every other weekend to tournaments(the closest is 3 hours away), and practicing diligently between them, I have improved my New England ranking from the mid 50's to the mid 20's. After winning several level 6 tournaments my goal is to win a level 4 tournament by the end of this year. Academically, I am a very hard worker and have shown significant improvement. From a 2.7 freshman year to a current 3.7 and deans list every semester, my dedication and focus has paid off.
The best school for me Is one that is strong both athletically and academically. I feel I will be a great asset to any team because of my work ethic, mental toughness, athleticism and humility. I play the sport I love with tremendous heart and my nickname is "houdini" because of my dramatic comebacks. In short, I believe these personal attributes will push the team to excel as I lead by example. On top of tennis I plan to pursue a degree in architecture and business.
