By creating this profile, I am hoping to give college coaches a basic idea of who I am. I am hoping to make it into the college level of competition and help improve the team with my vaults. I am a hard worker that will devote my time to any team and will work as hard as I can to achieve the goal to compete in the college level. I have only started vaulting December 2nd of my freshman year and I play football during the fall. During the summer I have intense workouts to help make me stronger every Monday, Wednesday, and Friday; working on my speed, strength, and explosiveness. It helps contribute to both football and track. During the indoor track season, it is very hard to get any good practices in because we don't have an indoor facility. Our team is forced to practice outside and many times the runway/ pit is covered in snow and ice. Also we don't have a pole vault coach or any coach that is knowledge about pole vaulting. Our track coach only knows the basics but other than that, we are all self taught. I am currently an honor student in my school and we are among one of the elite public schools in the nation. Also, in my junior year, I am planning taking as many honors and AP classes I can to get ahead. I also participate in many community service activities like collecting money at our schools games for cancer in honor of one of our coaches. Overall, I am a hardworking individual that will be a great contribute to the team who also wants to get good grades in the process and give back to the community.
