I discovered competitive running as a freshman in high school. Since then, running has been a central part of my life. I have worked very hard to be the fastest mid-distance runner I can be, and I've loved every minute of it. It was so incredibly disappointing not to be able to run outdoor track last year as I am sure I was poised to crush my PRs (800M: 1:57, 05/11/2019; 1600M: 4:29, 1/4/2020; 400M: 51:84, 5/16/19; 4x800MR: 1:56, 1/10/2020)!
Also, I have worked just as hard to be the type of teammate you can rely on and trust -- my teammates elected me team captain for all three sports (cross country, indoor and outdoor track). I have also worked hard at school, earning a decent GPA (3.88 weighted GPA), and taking challenging courses (3 AP courses, 6 honors courses). I'm undecided about my major, but I'm leaning toward Business or Economics. Being a part of a competitive team at a highly competitive school is my highest hope for college. I want to take myself to the next level and be the best I can be, both athletically and academically.
