Brodie Gill '26 Recruiting Profile

When I started high school, I had never participated in a school sanctioned sport and starting a sport was not on my radar. However, something within inspired me to try out for the track and field team. From the first day that I attempted pole vaulting, I was hooked! Everyday I would go to practice and get a little bit better by listening to feedback and developing my skills.  As the season progressed, so did my technique. I would start to watch videos of elite athletes and also look up stats for competitors on the state, collegiate, and world platform. By the end of my first year, I was the top ranking freshman in FHSAA 1a pole vaulting and finished regionals in 6th place with a personal record of 315 meters (10'4" inches).
