Cooper Cox '21 Recruiting Profile

My athletic and personal goals involve becoming a collegiate track and field athlete for a program that values hard working student athletes.   Since I was a young athlete, I have been blessed with the ability and passion to perform at a high level.  I am a versatile athlete with top speed quickness and quick agility.   An attribute that I obtain is an impecable work ethic and a drive to win.  Performing on the field is very important,  but one of my greatest acheivments in high school was receiving an all state academic award.   One of my biggest goals is to compete at a high level as well as receive a first class education, which will prepare me for life's adventures.  

I am a multi sport athlete; which includes being an All District defensive back in football my sophomore year and starting outfielder on my state qualiying baseball team as a sophomore.

In my free time I enjoy spending time with my family and friends.  I am also involved in my school's Silver Cord program, which allows me to give back to my community and volunteer at many organizations.

I think that with my hard work ethic, dedication, and drive to succeed, I would make for a valuable asset to your school, not only during competition, but most importantly, in the classroom, on campus and in your community.

I am especially driven and goal oriented as, after a freshmen year of high school, where I qualified for the State Track Meet in 3 events, unfortunately, I missed my entire sophomore season due to an injury.  This was one of the most difficult things that I have experienced and had to overcome thus far in my life.  However, it taught me a lot of things, most importantly, it taught me to make every practice, every weight room session, and every competition count, and to treat like it will be my last.  I am almost 100% healthy and look to get back on the track this winter, as I have several PR's to achieve.
