Gabriel Gourley '21 Recruiting Profile

I have been participating in track and field since 4th grade, competing in local and regional USATF events.  I have continued to run track throughout my Junior High and High School career.   As a sophomore, I started running cross country and have found a great love for the sport.   The best part of track and cross country is being part of a team and working together toward a common goal.  I work hard during these sport's seasons but also put in a lot of work in the off season to get better.   During the off season I continue to run and lift weights. 

I am the oldest of 4 kids and and want to be a good role model for my brother and sisters.  Outside of running I am part of my school's band and pep band.  I am a christian and part of my Strive high school youth group as well as a member of our schools FCA (Fellowship of Christian Athletes) group.  In school, I am on the First Tech Challenge robotics team where I have gained a lot of leadership and technical skills.

I would like to attend a college where I can push myself in the classroom as well as my running.
