I am a former student of Taekwondo through the American Taekwondo Association under the instruction of Shane Anderson, a 5th degree black belt. At the time I stopped attending, I was a 2nd degree black belt. I would have continued but extra curricular activities took more time than I had available. I received many accolades in the sport including 1st place in forms at Nationals in Las Vegas. My post academic desires include playing football post high school and post college if deemed worthy of the sport. However, the current post high school plan is to obtain a business degree along with schooling at Universal Technical Institute to become a master mechanic should football plans fall through. I believe I have the discipline to be the best I can be once my goals are established. I have been a class leader to my peers through elementary, junior high and now high school. I am class president and president of sophomore student council. I am also a talented amateur artist and have had work on display at the Art Museum in Des Moines and various Hospitals. Last year I placed third, as a freshman, in an art show among high school artists.
