Julien Veliquette '25 Recruiting Profile

My name is Julien. I have been running track and field for 2 years now starting in eighth grade. In that small time, I have completed 6 track seasons with my school team and a club track team. In my first season I came to love this sport. Now, it is my drive. This sport has pushed me to a place I never knew I could be and given me a new outlook on what I want to achieve. It gives me so much motivation and track practices are always the highlight of my day. While I may not enjoy the pain of a hard workout in the moment, the way I feel after a practice leaves me feeling more motivated to keep striving for my goals. As a freshman I was able to earn the captain title for my school's varsity track team for pushing myself and my teammates to be the best we can be. Now, I am a hurdler with an interest in the Decathalon and have already competed in a few and love it. I am excited for what's to come!
