Running has always been a major part of my life, whether it was watching my dad race or competing in them myself. I started at a young age, probably around 6 or 7. But that was more of having fun rather than becoming a serious interest. It first kicked off when I was in 7th grade and decided that it was time to move up in my athletic ability. Before that I was only in a club where there wasn't very many kids there that were enthusiastic about running. So I left all of that behind and started to see myself improve as time went on. The next school year I heard from some of my teammates that I could compete in cross country. I had no idea what it was but still decided to give it a try. Some of my goals for the 2022 seasons are to break 4:50 in the 1600, and break 17:15 in the 5k. I've been very competitive during my time as a runner, always trying to be one of the top performers. That is one of the main reasons why I want to be recruited, to become the best athlete I can.
