My goal is to attend a university that will challenge me both academically and athletically. I believe I am a dedicated, well-rounded student and I have been fortunate enough to attend a college preparatory school. I have always challenged myself with a rigorous course load such as multiple honors and AP classes. As a freshman, I focused on triple jump mainly but sophomore year I began to run the 110m hurdles and 300m hurdles. Ever since I have taken both 110m hurdles and 300m hurdles to be my most serious races. With strength and conditioning training in the offseason, I hope to break my personal records in both hurdles and triple jump as I have before. I believe I can be competitive at the college level in the 110m hurdles and the 300m/400m hurdles with this mindset. I have always had a passion for track since the end of freshman year. My coach pulled me aside at the end of the season and told me I could really become good at the sport if I actually put in the time and work since I didn't really put that much time into track freshman year. Ever since I've been pushing myself to be better and better each year and I know it shows.
