As an athlete, I am constantly striving to do my best while also trying to push my teammates to do the same. Any time that I have a goal that I want to set my mind to accomplish, I always work my hardest and give my best effort to achieve the goal. I know what it means to put in hard work, especially when you have people doubting you. I don't let athletics distract me from my academic work. In both areas, I feel that it is very important to give %100. I have a passion for school and a passion for track but I know how to properly separate the two so that I can succeed in both areas. You can never find me giving up as I don't know what it means to give up. I know that I can do anything that I set my mind to and I will never stop living by that rule. It's the only way to ensure that I can truly be happy while doing what I love. In college, I plan to be the best in every event I participate in. I want to make my mark wherever I go and be sure to leave a legacy there. Breaking school and meet records, as well as consistently setting new PRs will always be important and a constant goal of mine.
