I am a late bloomer when it comes to track. I lowered my 400 hurdles time more than three seconds during my junior year and I got faster each week. I finished my junior year by winning the AAAAA State Championship in the 400 Hurdles with a time of 55.4 seconds, taking second place in the 400 Relay, and third place in the 800 Relay. I was also named Most Valuable Player on the boy’s track team and named to the All-State Team. I am shooting for another state championship and the school record in the 400 hurdles in my senior year. Everything I have achieved in track so far is the result of hard work and coachability. I will continue to gain muscle and strength for several more years. I know that I can improve my start and technique with good coaching. I sincerely believe that I am running on natural talent. I have a high ceiling and a passion to keep running past high school and am looking to run for the right college for my athletic and academic goals.
