I believe that the effort that you put into something is multiplied back to you. This mindset has allowed me to make consistent improvements in my character and athletic performance. I am chasing Excellence. I enjoy setting big goals and believe that if you “shoot for the moon you'll land among the stars”. You will see as you look through my history that I have shown significant improvement in Track and Cross Country year over year. I’m not done yet and  have big goals for my senior season. 

I admire Steve PreFonaine because of his relentlessness as a competitor and his courage to run out front no matter what. I’ve applied this to all areas in my life to include those areas where I have struggled. Academics have been challenging for me. I have a learning disability that has humbled me and made me have to work harder than I ever imagined. I know at first glance it may cause you pause, but rest assured I have been working hard at it and found improvements. This past Semester I was able to get to a B average and I believe that will improve even more my Senior year. 

My goal as a student athlete is to become one of the best 800m runners in the nation. I know that I can’t do that alone as it’s taken the support of many people in my life to even be in this position. I am seeking a program that has a history of coaching terrific mid-distance runners and will squeeze every ounce of talent out of me. I’m looking for teammates that will push me to be my very best.
