I have always loved running since I was little. There was always something about it that made me feel free. Once I got into high school, I wanted to continue running to follow in my brothers footsteps and because I wanted to. I met really good friends that spurred me on to be my best self in running, and at states my sophomore year for XC, I hit my personal best time of 17:14. I have always had a hard working mentality, exemplified in my achievements in school, sports, and my achievement of Eagle Scout, the highest honor a Boy Scout can get. I have also swam for the past 4 years, first for a summer team, 1 year with OCCS (a club team near me) and 2 years with my high school, although I’ve been debating quitting swimming to better focus on running. Since the COVID-19 Virus outbreak and subsequent lockdown, training and competing has been made harder, but that hasn’t stopped me from getting out there and pushing myself in running as always.
