Personal Statement

I am Kyle Kieper and I attend Kettle Moraine Lutheran High School in Jackson, Wisconsin. I currently am a Junior and have a GPA of 3.963. I have been running Cross-Country and Track since 2017. I never thought I would be a runner until I was convinced by a friend to do Cross-Country in fifth grade. As I started running in my first race, I didn't expect to do well, but to my Coach's and my amazement, I came out first for our team. I continued this for the next four years of grade school and again since my Sophomore season of Cross-Country.

Throughout my athletic and academic career, I have always wanted to go another step forward. In grade school and now especially through high school, it was always my goal in races to catch the next person in front of me, whether I was five seconds behind them or twenty-five seconds. When I got an avulsion fracture during my Freshman Track season, I was unable to compete at State and was greatly set back. This made me want to come back even stronger in my next season. In academics, I always try to pick difficult classes to challenge myself and progress my knowledge. As I look forward to my future, I want a college that can take me more steps forward. I want to be able to be challenged in my academics and be able to learn something that I enjoy. I also want to be able to move forward in my running career and have the opportunity to be a big part of a great team.

NCSA COLLEGE RECRUITING®

NCSA College Recruiting® (NCSA) is the nation’s leading collegiate recruiting source for more than 500,000 student-athletes and 42,000 college coaches. By taking advantage of this extensive network, more than 92 percent of NCSA verified athletes play at the college level. The network is available to high school student-athletes around the country through valued relationships with the NFLPA, FBU, NFCA and SPIRE. Each year, NCSA educates over 4 million athletes and their parents about the recruiting process through resources on its website, presentations of the critically-acclaimed seminar College Recruiting Simplified, and with Athletes Wanted, the book written by NCSA founder Chris Krause.
