My sophomore year was my first time performing at very high level at the state track meet. I did not perform to the level I desired, and it propelled me with a strong desire to return the following season. The 2023 track season my junior year was unbelievable for the team and myself. Our 4X400 team was seeded 7th going into the WIAA State Track Meet. We won the championship in a time of 3.18.24 with an average split of 49.5. Our team also broke the school record from 1971 by a second. I also competed in the 4X800 relay, placing 11th at State. I missed qualifying for State in the 400 by .07 seconds. The goals for my senior year are to return to state in three events.
I am very fortunate to be in a program that trains me to be able to meet these goals of mine and I am very thankful for that. I've learned teamwork, leadership, responsibility, and compassion from the amazing coaches at our school. I am looking for a program that is a good fit for me athletically and academically. I believe I have the ability to compete at the college level not only because of my talent but because of my work-ethic and leadership skills. As a Captain of the track team I know I have what it takes to be on your team!
