The first time I played volleyball was with my dad and his friends in the park when I was 12. Ever since then I have been in love with this sport. I knew playing college volleyball is my dream and has been something I’ve strived for since I joined the team in 7th grade. Playing volleyball in college is something I work towards every day.
During my volleyball career, I have played positions outside hitter, middle blocker, and libero. I am a really great passer in the back row and am always the loudest team member on the court. I enjoy and take pleasure in leading my team through tough losses and even more through tough wins. Whatever happens on the court I always tell my team that we will rise together and fall together and that’s what’s most important. I work hard on and off the court and I try to make decisions that make me both a better player and a better person. Additionally, I make sure that my team is focused and working hard. In all of the teams that I have played for, I have been the captain and I lead my teammates to be better. One thing I learned about volleyball through the years is that it is a team sport which makes it important that we all keep improving together.
Apart from volleyball, I also maintain a high GPA in school. I believe that education is very important, and I make sure that I don’t waste the opportunities that are presented to me. Keeping my GPA high and being a student-athlete has its challenges, but I use time management and dedication to keep myself sharp and at the top.
I would love to play volleyball at a college, and I am looking for a university that will allow me to tap into my potential. It is important to me that I not only improve my game but also improve the person that I will become. I want to find the college that is the right fit for me and somewhere I will stand out.
