I have been truly fortunate to have a great role model, Coach John Herman, who is my high school varsity coach. Coach Herm is teaching me how to be a good person, not just a good player. On the court, he is constantly pushing me to do my best, while also being encouraging and supportive. My family has also been very supportive of both my academic and athletic endeavors. My primary academic goal for high school and college is to create a solid foundation I can continue to build on throughout my life.
Through playing volleyball, I have learned how to be a confident, supportive leader on the court. I have a high volleyball IQ, and I enjoy the mental aspects and strategy involved in playing with my team. I have had the opportunity to practice and play with two amazing setters at Parker, one who has already moved on to play D1 volleyball, which has pushed and inspired me. I am committed to playing and training as much as possible because of my love of the sport.
