Personal Statement
Volleyball is my passion and I am working hard to develop my skills to play for a college with rigorous academics.
If I had to describe one unique attribute about myself, it would be mental toughness. On the volleyball court, I believe mental toughness is just as important as the physical aspects of the game. As a setter, mental toughness allows me to remain calm, composed, and collected to help my team execute well when the game is on the line. At the same time, it has allowed me to effectively run the offense for my 2019 varsity high school team (as an eighth grader) resulting in 17-3 record and our first state title bid, run the offense for my U17 Team (as a Freshman and Sophomore), be selected to the 2020 High Performance A1 Select National Training Program as a Freshman (2020), and be selected to the 2021 U17 NTDP Training Series (2021) as a Sophomore.
I am very excited to see what path life takes me down over the next two years and I can’t wait to play volleyball in college!
