David Dostalek '24 Recruiting Profile

I am deligent individual and athlete who is determined to always do my best. I have been a hockey player ever since I was five years old. I was on a travel team for six years and four years on a triple A team. Our teams biggest accomplishment for hockey was coming in third place in Canada for the Golden Stick tournament. Hockey taught me many lessons that helped me outside of the rink. Like being a part of a team is like being a part of a family, we all work hard together and individually to be the best team we could be.

I have also been apart of a basketball team for five years and enjoy the thrill and rush of the game. I hustle every time to bring my best to the game and to support my teammates.

However, ever since I watched as a kid my parents play volleyball every weekend at the park,  I fell in love with the game. I started playing volleyball in High School and quickly realized my passion for the sport. I joined club volleyball where I am able to continue improving my skills. I would love a chance to play on a collegiate level and bring and elevate my strong skills to the team such as my jump serve, my strong arm swing, and my ability to see the court. I strive to be the hardest working player and recruit you will find. 

I intend to push myself to be the best in the classroom and on the court. I believe that my high school course load, AP and IB classes, will prepare me for the challenge of balancing academic work with athletics. I am passionate, open minded, and disciplined team player who will always bring the energy. The main thing that sets me apart from other candidate is that I am committed in putting in time and effort that it takes for me to become the best player I can be and to be a best team player for my team.
