6'8" Power Forward with the Drive to Compete and the Grit to Win.
Preston is an aggressive rebounder and powerful blocker with a keen strategic sense of the court. Preston clogs the paint and causes all opposing players to think twice before trying to drive to the basket. Offensively, he can get to the rim and knock down threes.
Academics are important to me; I've been asked to join the National Honor Society. My Senior year schedule consists of International Baccalaureate (IB) and Honors level courses.
I'm eager to contribute at the highest level to an organization and would like to discuss how I may fit within your program.
All the Best,
Preston Rothkrug, Long Island Lutheran High School '23

COACH REFERENCE LETTERS
April 2022
To Whom It May Concern,
It is my pleasure to write a coach’s letter for Preston Rothkrug. I have had the privilege of coaching Preston for three years, and I’m looking forward to coaching him in the winter for the 4th season. Preston is a tremendous teammate on and off the court but what he brings to the team on the court is unmatched.
Preston is a very coachable player and a quick learner. He arrives early and is always one of the last players to leave the gym. When putting in new schemes or plays, Preston is always one of the first players to pick up on the new idea and is eager to help his teammates figure it out.
This past year, Preston was a Junior on our varsity team, and he did not disappoint. Preston started the season coming off the bench, but it quickly became evident that he should not be glued to the bench very long. Preston was a Starter in numerous games and dramatically changed the game for us with his defense and ability to be versatile on the offensive end. Offensively, he can get to the rim and knock down an open 3. Defensively, Preston clogs the paint and causes all opposing players to think twice before trying to drive to the basket.
Preston was named to the all-conference team as a junior and is on track to have a big senior season. Ever since our season ended, he has been training hard, focusing on improving his strength, speed, and overall basketball game. There is no doubt that with Preston’s work ethic and his love for the game of basketball, he will continue to get better and prove to be a leader during his senior season.
I am confident that wherever Preston decides to play in the future, he will make that program better and prove an irreplaceable asset to the team.
Sincerely,
Andrew Siegel, Coach - Locust Valley HS Varsity Men’s Basketball, Section 8, Conference B
