Personal Statement
My freshmen year I was invited to be the statistician at the state tournament for our high school. This was a game changer because I had to sit and watch my teammates play from the bench. I told myself that I would never sit and watch at states again. Over the next year, just to get as many touches as possible, I learned any position my coaches needed me to play. I gained experience leaning and playing middle, libero, right side, and finally found my position as a starting outside for the rest of my club season and sophomore year. Finishing my sophomore year as a team captain and playing in the state tournament that I had watched the year before.
My family support means everything to me and is the reason I have developed so much as a player. They are constantly pushing me to do my best academically and physically so I can reach my highest potential. I believe I have the talent, drive, and dedication to my sport to be the best potential athlete for your future team.
