My name is Hayden and I am currently 14 years old and just started my freshman year of high school and will be playing on my high school’s JV team. I've been playing water polo since I was 9 years old with our local club LaMorinda Water Polo Club in Brentwood, CA. I started swimming with our local swim team after motivation from friends when I was 9 years old, then tried water polo immediately after, finding I loved being in the water. I have been swimming summer league ever since, popping times each swim meet and playing polo year round. I've been playing guitar since I was in Kindergarten because I needed something to focus on. I have since added drums and other percussion instruments to my instrument wheel house. I was diagnosed with Dyslexia in 5th grade after lots of testing and frustration, but have persevered. Although, I still struggle with reading, I haven't let it stop me and continue to average a 3.8 GPA throughout middle school. I hope to continue to focus on improving my academics in high school while swimming and playing for my high school swim and water polo teams. Through my years of polo, I have learned to be a better player and find myself helping to lead our team in the water by guiding my teammates. I would love to continue learning and finding myself within the sport of water polo at both high school and college levels.
