Basketball has played a massive role in my life since I was 9 years old. Whether it was in front of my house with a beat-up hoop or stepping on a court I have always had the desire to play at the college level. The love for the game of basketball has driven me to push myself every day to get better and stronger. In pushing myself I have gained mental toughness and a high basketball IQ. I have an effective shot, good ball handling skills, and great passing. I am an overall team player; I believe that the game of basketball isn't one sided, even with skill your teammates need to be able to rely on you and trust you to work together as a team. I show a great example of this as I am considered a team leader by encouraging my teammates and try to lead by example even when nobody is watching. I inspire to keep putting in work and developing my basketball skills throughout the off season, by participating in my AAU team East County Valkyrie. I am a multi-sport athlete including playing baseball for 7 years, softball for 2 years, and newly this year flag football. All these sports have contributed to my agility, endurance, and athleticism shaping me into the player I am today. From on the court to off the court I strive to be a better human being all around. In the classroom, I hold a GPA that allowed me to be on Honor Roll my freshman and sophomore year. I have been a volunteer with the Unified Sports Program, designed to help special needs students interact, engage, and do fun activities with other students. I helped by playing unified soccer to help the students learn and ultimately have fun. Overall, I am looking to attend a college where I can continue pushing myself both on and off the court. I am open to all options and hope to one day find the college for me with the greatest level of competition. I aim to observe, learn and hopefully become a great role model that encourages others to be their best while making my family and friends proud.
