Gavin Gomez '25 Recruiting Profile

I have played club water polo since the age of 8. Eight years later I still love the game as much as I did the day I first started. I have moved teams 3 times in those 8 years and while some of those changes took some adjusting, I can with 100 percent certainty state that I have learned and become a better player and person because of it. I have learned to adapt to new coaches, teammates and cultures while retaining the best of what each team had to offer. Further, I am a very quick learner and am very easy to coach, just as important though I love the bonds created with my teammates. I believe making a team better not only through my own skill set but by assisting in highlighting the skill set of my teammates. Lastly, I love the physicality of water polo just as much as I love the intellectual strategic planning of the game. Water polo feels like a physical game of chess, I want to continue to grow and contribute to the sport I love.
