Personal Statement
The most challenging time that made me grow as an athlete and a person, was my seventh grade year when I decided to play varsity baseball only because we didn't have a Softball program at my school, but I love the diamond. Boys threatened to quit if the coach allowed a seventh grade girl to play on the team; but, I played anyway. Not only did I become the starting varsity third baseman, I eventually won over the confidence of my teammates. I returned my eighth grade year to be the Varsity Catcher. This taught me, that even when some people don't believe in you, if you believe in yourself and your job as a teammate, good things can happen. I hope to play for a program, at the next level, that shares my views on character, hard work and dedication.
