2019Personal Statement
My name is Myana Ward and I'm a 5'8" hungry to succeed softball player who loves to be coached. I'm totally and completely dedicated to the sport of softball. I know the game of softball but I am determined to be coached and groomed to know more. My most important athletic accomplishments so far are being named the Defensive MVP on my Middle School team at 1st Base, and being awarded the Best Offensive Player and Runner-Up for Best Defensive Player during the 2018 Camp of Champions.
Knowing my capabilities and passion for this sport, just makes me want to be a collegiate player all the more. One promise that I can make, is that I will always give my all to the University and the Team. My loyalty to the team/organization has always been unmatched, and that can be verified by any coach or team member that I have ever been affiliated with.
When it comes to choosing what school I would like to go to, my options are very big. I mainly am looking at Southern states but I am very open to going anywhere. I am at this point completely opened minded about colleges and hope to just find a college that fits me best. As long as I can receive a good education and play competitive softball I will be alright. My top two choices for a major as of right now is either Psychology or Community Services as I love helping people.
My realistic athletic goals are to play my sport for as long as I can at the highest level that I can. My Life goal is to be an impact on anyone that I encounter in life, hoping to leave a lasting positive impression.

- Competed well with 19-35-year-old players as a 14U team. Had 0 errors was 12 of 15 over 5 games and had 2 1 bouncers @275 feet. Although we didn't win the tournament, we came home with the 2nd Place Silver.

- Batted .780 which included 4 Singles, 2 Doubles, 1 Triple, 0 Strikeouts, a Home Run and a game-winning Grandslam. I feel that I could've done more, but I was either hit, or Walked for the last couple of games which limited my effect on the game, but that's just good coaching. This was my best tournament so far, but not for long!
