Personal Statement
Hi! My name is Shelby Johnson and I have goals, plans and dreams. I was born during the opening ceremonies of the 1992 Olympics. When I was a young player, it was my honor to meet Sheila Douty. I told Sheila that I was going to be an Olympic Softball player one day, that is my dream. My goal is to work hard this next year to play at the top of my game while maintaining my 'A' average. I am a memeber of Student Council;Student Body Secretary, National Honor Society and National Society of High School Scholars, with a non-weighted GPA of 3.97.I recently made the honor roll at Mohave Community College (Fall 2010). I practice pitching year round, even during breaks in club and school ball. I wish to become an orthodontist and I am willing to relocate anywhere in the country to realize my dreams. I would like to play as much as possible during my college eligibility and beyond, if the opportunity arises. My plan is to receive a college scholarship, (hopefully both academic and athletic) that will allow me to play the sport I love and start me on my way towards my career choice of orthodontics. I am a leader and am always there to pick up my team and encourage them to work hard!I am determined, dedicated and I am ready to grow as a team player in the best sport!
