Personal Statement
I am entering my Senior year at Atascadero High School. At the start of my SR. year, I am 5'06" and weigh 145 lbs. My Home to 1st time is 2.67 and my home to home time is 11.75 [Verified at NFCA Combines]. My top speed pitching has progressed from 54-56 to 56-58 over the last three months [Measured at NFCA Combine]. I currently play Varsity Softball, Soccer, and Volleyball. I strive to play against the highest level of competition, and be an immediate impact. I continue to train to maintain my triple threat offensive play, however, my ultimate goal is to be the complete five-tool player. I am a pitcher first. I also play 3b, and catch. My soph. year in high school, we needed a 1b due to a senior player moving behind the plate. I switched from pitcher/3b to pitcher/1b. I earned 1st Team All Pac 7 honors, as well as 1st Team All-County as a first baseman. I lead my team and the PAC 7 league in RBIs, Stolen bases, and Triples. My pitching record was 7-1-2, my only loss was to the #1 ranked CA. high school at the time, Buchanan High[Fresno]. I hit with equal power from the left or right batter's box. I excel as a lefty slapper/bunter/power hitter, depending on what the defense is playing and/or my team's needs are during that particular at-bat. I am looking to play immediately and making an impact, however, I know that playing time/starting is a privilege and honor that is achieved by hard work on and off the field. I always try to be 45 min. early for practice and stay after to work on any weaknesses I may have. I am open to all schools at this time, however, a strong preference will be toward schools with programs in Forensic Science and/or Sports Psychology. I am very self-disciplined and goal-oriented. I look forward to continuing my education through high school with A/P and honors classes to prepare myself for college.
2011...I earned Team Captain! I also earned the starting Catcher spot. I earned 1st Team All-League and 1st Team All-County as a Catcher! I again lead the league in RBIs, HRs, Doubles, and HBPs. I set a school record for the RBIs, again! Thanks to all my teammates for getting on base in front of me!
*** I will be playing my second season with the FRESNO FORCE 18 GOLD! Just let Coach Jeff or Aaron what position you would like to see me in and I'll play it! What ever is best for our team!
August 2011--- Jessie earns starting spot on Varsity Volleyball. Its going to be a great year with my senior teammates!
