Brooklynn Steeley '27 Recruiting Profile

Hello Coaches, my name is Brooklynn Steeley also known as "BB or B" on the softball field and to all my family and friends. I am currently a freshman at Central Valley High School in Ceres, CA. I am class of 2027. I take all honors classes and hold a 4.0. I have been playing softball since I was three years old. At the age of 10, I begged my parents to allow me to try out for a travel ball team. I made my first team with Cen-Cal Angels and then covid hit. I practiced every day on my own during quarantine and did pitching lessons via zoom every week. I currently play for the Firecrackers - Deleon. I also competed in the high school level all-American sports youth team as an 8th grader in 2022 and won that championship. I received the award "All American Ace"  and got a direct invite to play on the All American Youth Elite team in 2023. My main position is Pitcher and I also play corners. I got my first softball glove from my aunt at my baby shower and my love for softball started as soon as I could grab a ball. This sport has brought so many amazing things into my life. It has taught me how to lose things and fight harder for what I want. It taught me teamwork is crucial and supporting each other is most valuable. I would say it taught me more in the games I lost, than in the ones that I won. It has made me tough and a hard worker on and off the field. I want to play college softball. It has always been my dream. I think the most important thing that I bring to a team is my positive attitude, my leadership, my competitive nature, and also my dedication to learning and growing.  I appreciate you taking the time to read my statement. I can't wait to see what my softball career looks like in the future.
