Amaris Ruiz '26 Recruiting Profile

Dear coaches,

College has always been a goal for my parents and I but until recently I didn't understand the full picture of what it would really mean for my family, my culture and my gender to become a college educated professional.  Although I am just beginning my high school career I have began to envision what it would be like to be a college athlete.  I see myself growing both mentally and physically throughout my college softball career.   I look forward to making life long relationships both on and off the field.   My goal is to explore a sports and health science major that will prepare me for a career in sports medicine.   My work ethic on and off the field is one of my biggest qualities and I plan to bring that with me and be positive influence on the team.  I always strive to be an asset to any team whether it's behind the plate, in the infield, in the outfield or in the line up.   I will carry myself with dignity, honor and be respectful as I know my actions may be considered as a reflection of my team, my coaches and the school I attend.
