Personal Statement

I play competitive travel softball. I coach and play volleyball. I have a great GPA and I am taking AP and Honors courses. Softball has been my passion since I was four. I work hard, have fun and do what it takes to be an enthusiastic team player and leader. I try to surround myself with people who have a positive attitude. I am competitive. I have a great stretch if it is needed at 1st base and I am tall. I like to play all over the field but will play where I am needed. I feel there’s always room for players to get better both mentally and physically. I am always trying to improve my mental skills and my game.  Some softball coaches have nicknamed me Smiley or Stretch. I am loud on the field.  I plan to stay involved with the sport for years to come. I am intrigued by the idea of pursuing a career in science, real estate or entrepreneurship. Whatever I do, I know I will have made some lifelong friends in the process and my family will be by my side to support me.

  • I didn't have anyone I knew at the camp so I paired up with 3 girls from another team. I was on field #2 with UCLA's Coach I, Cal Poly SLO's Associate Head Coach Gina Vecchione, UC Davis Coach Thorpe & the Stanislaus coach for 3 hours. I was so happy. I hit one over the outfield fence. The Cal Poly coach worked with me at 1st base. An aquaintance of the family, Victor, an umpire from my hometown searched me out on his day off to say hello. He was down in LA umpiring the PGF Championships for 2 weeks. He told me I was just a good as any of the girls there that he had seen all week. So nice of him to say.

NCSA COLLEGE RECRUITING®

NCSA College Recruiting® (NCSA) is the nation’s leading collegiate recruiting source for more than 500,000 student-athletes and 42,000 college coaches. By taking advantage of this extensive network, more than 92 percent of NCSA verified athletes play at the college level. The network is available to high school student-athletes around the country through valued relationships with the NFLPA, FBU, NFCA and SPIRE. Each year, NCSA educates over 4 million athletes and their parents about the recruiting process through resources on its website, presentations of the critically-acclaimed seminar College Recruiting Simplified, and with Athletes Wanted, the book written by NCSA founder Chris Krause.
