Personal Statement
I have had a love of softball since I was eight years old. I tried soccer, but quickly came back to softball. I am torn at this moment to decide a college degree direction, but leaning towards Biology. I would love to see how far I can go into softball, i.e coaching, but I also like Bio Chemistry.
I am highly motivated and a self started. Usually I am the first person to arrive for practice and respectfully urge the coaches to move on with practice drills. I have been selected numerous time by my team mates to be their team captain and know how to motivated them to evaluate their level of play.
I am a primarily a shortstop and catcher and often play 3rd base.
Softball is my passion, but I do love helping others especially when I volunteer at the local schools and during the summer help out at our community center's kids summer activities. I have been handing out dictionaries to 3rd grades for more than six years and it is so heart warming when you hand a dictionary to a child who has never had a book of his/her own. Their face just light up.
I know where ever I play softball or study, I will be giving 100%.
