Personal Statement
I have been playing softball since I was six years old. I fell in love with the sport immediately. I had a teammate get sick at the start of a game when I was eight. The coach asked who wanted to catch and I jumped at the chance. I came back into the dugout after the first inning saying "Coach, I want to do this all the time!" My parents were supportive and found a catching coach to teach me the fundamentals. This lead me to where I am today.
I strive to be the best player every day, working to get better every day. I encourage my teammates. I have been told by multiple coaches and trainers that I'm very coachable. I think my work ethic on and off the field are what sets me apart.
I work hard in the classroom to maintain my high GPA. I have a 4.0 GPA and am maintaining that level of academic prowess as I go through school.
I am also an avid artist. I enjoy drawing and painting. You will often find me with a sketchbook and pencil doodling away. I love sewing, crocheting, and picking up any new hobby I possibly can.
I want to attend a college where I can not only gain an excellent education, but also be a competitive athlete.
