Addie Cline '13 Recruiting Profile

My name's Addie Cline. I am going into 11th grade at Lowpoint-Washburn High School. I love softball! I have been playing since tee ball when I was 6. Most teams I have been on have not been great, and that is why I am scared I won't get noticed by colleges. It has always been my dream to play for the University of Kentucky Wildcats, but I am also considering Bradley University in Peoria, IL because it is closer to home. I love playing shortstop but lately my arm has not been the best for that position so I have been working hard to strengthen it. Until then I have found that I am good at second base and that is now my primary place to play. I am very open to playing different positions on the field. I know the situations and how to play every single position. A coach told me once when I was younger not to focus just on one spot but to learn every spot, because I will have a better chance to play in college. I have always kept that in my mind and that is why I am a good utility player. Since high school is halfway over for me I have been thinking a lot about what I am going to do with my life. I think I want to major either in physical therapy or athletic training. I realize I won't get to play softball forever and that is why it would mean a lot to me if I could play for college.
