Kalyn Crider '18 Recruiting Profile

My collegiate goals and aspirations are to improve my skills and to get a good education that will help me through out life no matter what job I end up doing. One of my life long dreams is to attend a Division 1 school and prove that it can be done to all the people that said I couldn't. I have a lot of experience in playing high pressure games. I have played select travel softball for the past five years and every year I've been to a world series. I've also been to state four times in my grade school career claiming a state title, runner up, and two elite eights. I have a strong passion for the game. I get along very well with all the girls I have met while playing. I'm looking for a team that will push me to get better and stronger as an individual. I am very different than most players. I have given lessons since I was in 7th grade. I love helping young girls improve their game and relationships with their teammates. In my grade school career, I played volleyball for 4 years, softball for 4 years, and ran track for 3 years. I have broken 8 school records in softball. My 8th grade year I was in honors with a 3.75 GPA. I am not satisfied with anything lower than a B. I have continued to maintain honor roll in high school.
