I want to play for a respected college where I can get a good education because I know that I won't be playing softball forever, and being successful in life is a top priority for me. I work as hard at my academics as I do for my softball team. As a result, I am currently carrying a 4.121 GPA into the second semester of my Junior year (extra GPA bump due to AP courses). I also want to make a positive contribution to the team and glorify God with how I play and act -- on and off the field. I have very good speed in the field and on the bases, and have played nearly every position on defense -- although Right Field and 2nd Base are my primary positions. I believe that my willingness to learn and give my best sets me apart from other recruits. I recognize that I have opportunities for improvement and will work hard to make those improvements. One example of this is that I committed to attending batting instruction each week for the past 4 years to improve my mechanics and command at the plate. I love being a leader on the teams I play with both vocally and through my actions. As a 3-year starter on my varsity team, I try to be a representative for the coach on the field. I believe this quality and work ethic has helped prepare me for the road to play college softball. I know that it will be hard work, but I'm willing to do whatever it takes to make my future college team successful.
