Personal Statement
In college, I have several goals and aspirations for both my academic career and my athletic career. Academically, a goal of mine is to learn about a major that interests me and makes me think deeper and more critically about the world around me. In order to do this, I want to find a college that helps me develop these skills for the future. Another academic goal I have, is to not only pass my classes and courses, but to accelerate in them by listening to the professors, asking questions, and putting in my best effort in all of my work. Athletically, I want to go to a school that is a good fit for me based on my athletic capabilities and where I could keep continuing my knowledge of softball while having a great coaching staff to help me become the best athlete possible and to play with other softball players who love the game as much as I do. I am different than other recruits because I am never content with being the same as I was the day before. I always continue to try and get better even if its the small things. Also, I am very coachable and take into account everything a coach or teacher has told me because it can be very useful information that I can use to help me improve myself. Another way I am different than other recruits is because I take academics just as seriously as athletics. Working hard in school is very important because it is what helps set you up for success in the future. I not only work hard in softball and school, but in everything I do. I always try to reach my fullest potential and accomplish the goals that I set for myself. These things are what make me different than other recruits.
