Personal Statement
Most call me Niecy and I have been playing softball for over 10 years; competitive travel for over 6 years. For me, being a student athlete is a way of life. I pride myself as a three sport athlete playing softball, volleyball, and basketball. Out of the three sports I play, softball has always been my passion. Softball let’s me be who I truly am. It is a game that allows me to let loose because my focus is on the field. My main positions are anywhere in the outfield but mostly centerfield, I also can play second base. As a player I am very hard working, I give it my all no matter what is happening or how I feel. I am a very positive person on and off the field. I always encourage my teammates during the good and bad times, which is the reason you will always hear my voice on the field. Academically, I work hard to earn good grades while balancing sports. I have been on the Honor Roll since First Grade. I also participate in other school clubs and committees. My goal is to have the opportunity to play softball in college. I dream big and hope one day it will all become a reality. I am interested in colleges that provide a safe community where I can be involved on campus and set myself up to succeed in life.
