Hello, my name is Whitney Duell and I will graduate in 2024 from Harrison High School in West Lafayette, Indiana. My love of softball started 12 years ago and over the years has grown into my joy and passion. I currently start at second base and hit lead-off for my high school varsity team, which won our Conference, Sectionals, Regionals and lost in Semi State last season. I have also played travel for 8 years, and currently play for Indiana Shockwaves Carson/Tarver 18U out of Noblesville, Indiana. I can play middle infield and all 3 outfield positions. I bat left handed and throw right handed. I am very athletic and swift on my feet so I can cover a lot of ground quickly. I have also played soccer for 12 years so I am a multi-sport athlete, and that has helped me become more well-rounded.
My role on any team is usually the leader because I am highly motivated and competitive, and I tend to be the most vocal because I like to communicate and encourage my teammates. My teammates are like family to me and I want us all to have fun and be successful.
My parents have always been very supportive of my playing softball, but they have instilled in me that my highest priority should always be my education. I work very hard in school to do the best I can academically and prepare myself for the next level. I hope to find a college where I can pursue my degree in business and achieve all of my academic and athletic goals. I am very excited to start the process and look forward to communicating with prospective schools and coaches.
