Josie Harrison '19 Recruiting Profile

I look forward to my college years where I expect to learn and grow in the healthcare profession.  My goal is to major in either Nursing with the option of further advancement into Practical Nursing or Physical Therapy.  I am looking for a program that will be a good fit for me both academically and athletically.  I believe I not only have the talent to compete for a college team, but the character, work-ethic, and leadership skills to make an impact on your program.

As I grow both physically and mentally throughout my college sports career, I will be dedicated to my team and strive to be an asset in all areas of the game from pitching to other field positions and in the batting lineup.  As a utility player I have been able to adjust to various team situations and play positions including shortstop, first base, second base and outfield positions.  I know the importance of identifying your role on the team and working to help the team be successful.  More importantly, I will conduct myself with honor and respect on and off the field, knowing the way I carry myself is a reflection of my team, my coaches and the school.  I am dedicated to continuing to improve myself.  You can find me in the gym or on the field practicing any opportunity I have.  Each year I set personal goals and work to accomplish my goals.  This effort has led to my current success earning a starting varsity position in all sports (volleyball, basketball, softball and track) my freshman and sophomore years in high school.  As a three-sport athlete, I am ready to be a leader on your team.
