Personal Statement
I have played softball for about 7/8 years. I started out as a outfielder and I enjoyed the excitement I got from playing. After the first year I loved the sport and I could not wait to play the next year, as the next season got closer my father took me to the field to get some practice in for the up coming season. He had me throw some balls and saw that I had a strong arm and that year I moved into the infield and played at 3rd base, it was really fun I got a lot of playing time there.
After that season my dads friend "Tiger" who was watching me throw a ball around with my father. Told my dad to have me squat and catch the ball I did this for about 30 minutes before, he told my dad to stand about 60 feet away and throw the ball with as much speed, and accuracy as I could. It took me about 20 to 25 throws to make a good solid throw. After that Tiger told my dad I have been playing the wrong position the next season I moved to catcher but still played at 3rd.
From there I now play as a Catcher and a 3rd base man. I love the sport, I hope to play it in college as much as I want to become a teacher. I work everyday all year around to become the best player I can. I work well with others and try my best to improve and watch players to see what I can learn from them. I am a strong and competitive player. I work good with others on and off the field.
I am different from others because I never give up in practice, games or school. I like to put my best forward and nothing less. I will take all the advice in and try my best to use it to my advantage.
