Personal Statement

I started playing softball when I was four years old, with my house league team, and have been playing ever since. What influenced me the most to keep striving in this sport other than myself, has been my family. Most of my family has also been playing this sport since they were a very young age. When I was 12 years old, I had heard of tryouts starting for the Westman Magic 'A' softball team, and I figured why not try out to see if I could take my skill and effort to the next level. I am 16 years old now, and have been playing on this 'A' softball team ever since U12. Through playing this sport, I have never stopped learning about not only the game, but myself. Including my limits and strengths. I have met so many of my best friends through this sport and I am always meeting new people through softball.

My academic goals for high school is to always thrive and succeed for my future. I always have the mindset to not only challenge myself, but learn about my weaknesses as well as push my strengths past 'comfortable'.
