Follow me on Gamechanger :Winnipeg Lightning U17 (Softball-2024)
I fell in love with softball immediately after I signed up for my first year when I was 9 and since that first time stepping on that mound, I aspired to make it as far as I can as a pitcher. I am happy to say I have accomplished that in my home province entering my 7th year playing in the AAA program and winning provincials 5 years in row as a pitcher. My goal has always been to play university or college level ball which means I get to play the sport I love but also receive an education, I’d also love to represent my country one day and pitch for Team Canada.
I have played a lot of other sports as well such as AA hockey or club volleyball but softball will always be my number one sport and I always look for opportunity to grow as a athlete. I am currently attending a high school softball academy to prepare me for university as a student athlete and am working with a personal trainer to help me reach my personal goals.
I am a very reliable, committed and hardworking player. I take the game very seriously especially my role as a pitcher and will do what it takes to be my best and help my team and coaches reach their goals as well. The game is important to me but so is school and I feel I have been able to balance those two things very well since starting high school, my grades are impressive and my relationships with my coaches and teachers are very close.
In my spare time I do enjoy volunteering which includes running softball clinics in Indigenous communities to teach young girls and boys windmill pitching and I also help out with the younger teams in the AAA program. I sit on our provinces student council advisory board to help make positive changes in our province with my focus being on student athletes and I also sit on my schools student council and plan fundraising or school spirit activities.
I hope I can carry on my drive as a student, athlete and volunteer in a post secondary setting.
